Flaming Good Firewood is supplied to you dry and ready to burn.
We supply the following types of wood and recommend a mix of hardwood and softwood to get your fire going and then keep it burning. By using the right combination of wood on your fire you will be smoke free, warmer and spend less.

Gum / Eucalyptus
This hardwood is a great wood for a long burn. Best for keeping a fire burning once you have it started. It needs a long drying out time before we supply it to you. A premium firewood.

Oregon / Larch
Longer burning than pine, these softwoods burn hot and are good for starting a fire and keeping it burning.

Macrocarpa
Heavier than pine this is an excellent medium burn firewood. Best for wood burners or enclosed fires as this wood can send out sparks. You can also use this wood to get your fire going.

Pine
Pine is ideal for kindling and getting your fire going. This softwood takes less time to dry out and we recommend an order of this along with your medium-long burn hardwood.

Bespoke Firewood Mix
Our bespoke wood mix is subject to availability. This is either split to a smaller size for modern eco fires and smaller open fires or large for bigger indoor/outdoor fires. It is a mix of every type of wood that we supply + some!

Firewood Order Quantities
Our firewood is supplied in 2m – 4m quantities. We also supply larger quantities on request. This is ordered in “thrown measures” which is standard for the industry. This means you will receive a per metre volume based on the wood as it is “thrown” into the delivery truck.

Storing & Stacking Your Firewood
We recommend always neatly stacking your firewood under a suitable cover (shed, purpose built storage or under a large heavy duty tarpaulin). You should also leave enough space in the pile so that air can get through to keep drying out the wood.
We offer a firewood stacking service. Ask us when ordering.

When to Buy
Our peak firewood ordering months are March to July, but we recommend ordering wood before you need it! That way you will have the right wood, in the right quantity, dried out, stacked and ready for use when the temperature starts to drop. TEXT US or use our ORDER FORM to order your firewood today.
